Mr. Clyde Wheeler was born on July 17, 1934 in Alachua, Florida to the late Virgil Wheeler and Mrs. Janie Brooks Wheeler. He attended the local public schools of Alachua County, graduating from Alachua County Training School, Class of 1954.

A Vietnam War Veteran, Mr. Wheeler enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country faithfully as a Chief Petty Officer until being Honorably Discharged after retiring with over twenty years of service. Also, Mr. Wheeler was employed as a Tool Technician with Florida Community College at Jacksonville, where he retired after rendering several years of dedicated service.

In his adult life, he was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Ms. Delores Miller. This family was blessed with two children, Katrina and Damien.

On December 5, 2019 Mr. Clyde Wheeler passed away peacefully. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Delores M. Wheeler; children, Ms. Katrina Miller and Damien Wheeler; grandchildren, Ms. Khadija Hayes and Ms. Nyla Washington; sister, Mrs. Ida M. Goldwire; sister-in-law, Ms. Thelma Royal; brothers-in-law, James Miller, Jr. (Virginia) and Charles H. Miller (Diana); a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Mrs. Archie M. Harris and brothers, Alphonso Austin, Samuel Wheeler and Osby Wheeler.
