Samuel Luther Bryson, 75, a retired shoemaker, died at his home at 4316 East Thomas Avenue of an apparent heart attack.
Bryson, a native of Piedmont, SC., had lived here the past eight years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Gilbert Bryson; four sons, Walter Bryson of Fresno Calif. Jack Bryson of Miami, Fla. Samuel Bryson Jr. of Greenville, SC. and James A Bryson of Stockton, Calif. and four daughters, Mrs. Syble Raines and Mrs. Mary Ohse of Fresno, California, Mrs. Betty Jean Burchfield of Hollister, San Benito County, and Mrs. Sally Cesaroni of Woonsocket, R.I.
He also is survived by two brothers, John and Harry Bryson and two sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Rosdick and Mrs. Doshie Stover all of Piedmont, SC.
The Lisle Funeral Home will announce services.
Interment, Belmont Memorial Park, California.
