Chloe Snell is listed as one of the charter members of the Bark Camp Baptist Church on 12 Apr 1788 (ref: Burke County History, p. 256). The Barkcamp District of Burke is one of the earliest communities of Georgia. Documentary evidence points to the site of the original settlement as 3 miles to the southeast of the present Barkcamp Crossroads (a community that lies to the west of the creek and some six miles above Midville), on the east side of Barkcamp Creek and just below the bridge on the Midville-Birdsville road.
Chloe's date of death is unknown. It is estimated that she died circa 1795, perhaps shortly after giving birth to Isaac. Her husband, Christopher, was named in her father's 1802 will.
