Mrs. Philomena Valentino DePaula, 92, graduated from the old Schenectady High School. She was a secretary in the Human Resources Department of the General Electric Co. for more than 32 years, retiring in 1955. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.

Mrs. DePaula was a member of and past financial secretary for the Schenectady Council 201 Columbiettes and past president and secretary of the former Cornelia Lodge of the Sons of Italy. She was also a member of the Gabrielle D'Annunzio Lodge 321 Order of Sons of Italy of America, where she was a delegate for the annual convention for more than 20 years. Also, she was the deputy for District 6, Mechanicville Lodge.vShe was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and had been a member of their Sacred Heart League since 1918.

Louis DePaula, whom she married April 19, 1941, died April 19, 1988. Survivors include a son; a sister, Josephine Valentino of Schenectady; and two grandchildren.
