Charleen Lee Fox, 73, of St. George's Island, MD, died December 25, 2008, at Genesis La Plata Center, La Plata, MD.
Ms. Fox was a Chef for over 50 years with Fox and Company Catering; she loved cooking, fishing, bowling and being around water. She was a member of the St. Mary's Skiing Team, played softball and was a pitcher for the Desert Inn. She was an avid Redskins fan.
Born January 7, 1935, in Washington, VA, she was daughter of the late Lyle Racer and the late Fairella Brown Coppage Racer.
Predeceased by her parents and her sister, Marie Davis.
She is survived by her sons, William A. and his wife Patricia Moffat of Waldorf, MD; Hunter L. Fox, II and his companion Charles of Los Angeles, CA; daughters, Pamela L. and her husband Charles Harding of Welcome, MD; Tamera L. and her husband Eddie Nolan of St. George's Island, MD; Katrina L. and her husband Michael Showalter of Jacksonville, FL; Elsy L. and her husband David Beath of Temple Hills, MD; brother, Charles Racer of Culpepper, VA; 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2008, 5-8PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 30, 2008, 7PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will be private.
