He was born in Overton County on April 25, 1950, to the late Wilson and Anna Mae Bilbrey Dale.
James loved spending time with his grandchildren, being around people, petting his dog Brownie, taking Brownie for rides, and enjoying life in general.
Mr. Dale leaves behind his loving wife Diana S. Dale of Hilham; daughter Peggy Hall of Hilham; granddaughters Courtney Phillips and husband Clinton of Livingston and Railee Collins of Livingston; great grandchildren Isabella Melton, River Phillips, and Briar Phillips' sisters Hilda Cox of Hilham and Betty Brown and husband Raymond of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dale was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Eugene Cox.
Funeral services for Mr. James Barney Dale were conducted Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Bull and Bro. Roger Phillips officiating and burial in the Maxwell Chapel Cemetery.
