He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Anne Stedfast Jacobs, his brother, Peter Jacobs, Palm Desert, California and his sister, Darby Ellis Sturm, Kokomo, Indiana. He is survived by three daughters and a son; grandchildren.
Phil was a consummate life-long Boston sports fan. One would often hear him yelling (positively or negatively) at the television when watching the Red Sox, Patriots or Bruins.
He grew up in Waban and West Harwich, Massachusetts and married his childhood sweetheart, Anne Stedfast in 1948. They lived in Coral Gables, Florida while studying and graduating at the University of Miami with a degree in Business Administration. Returning to Massachusetts, they resided in Natick and Sudbury, Massachusetts and finally settling in Bedford, New Hampshire for the remaining 37 years.
Phil was a PROUD veteran of the U.S. Army. Being a very social individual, he loved to entertain and loved a good party. Armed with a marvelous sense of humor for any occasion (that we all will miss terribly), he loved nothing more than to all a joke to get a smile or, better yet, a rise out of whoever was with him.
