Ryan Scott Maxwell passed away peacefully, at age 48, on December 3, 2019, in Vallejo, Ca., surrounded by beloved family and friends at his sister’s home. He was born on December 11, 1970 in Sacramento to Scott and Shelley Maxwell. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Auburn area. From an early age he was involved in many sports such as youth soccer, basketball and Auburn Little League Baseball.

He attended Bowman Elementary School through 8th grade where he acquired many of his lifelong friends. Ryan graduated from Placer High School in 1989 and then attended Sierra Community College.

Ryan had many talents, especially in the building trade. He was a master craftsman and expert welder and the projects he worked on gave him a great deal of pride. He loved spending his free time at the American River with his dog Syd. He enjoyed billiards, darts, and disc golf, among other outside activities. He had a vast love for music. One of his favorite activities was attending music concerts with his dear friend, Teo.

The pride and joy of Ryan’s life was his daughter, who is currently stationed at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Ak.

Ryan will be dearly missed by family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Shelley Eisner and is survived by his wife, his daughter, his sister, his father .

A graveside service will be held at the Old Auburn Cemetery, 170 Fulweiler Ave. in Auburn.
