Benjamin Roscoe Lawson, 91 of Shawnee passed away December 7, 2019. He was born February 11, 1928 in Patterson, Illinois to Charles and Alice Lawson. Ben was a great husband and father. He was a hard-working man and always kept busy whether that was mowing the yard, doing things around the house or going to the gym. Ben retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. After retirement he went on to work and retired from other occupations. Ben and his wife, Lue travelled and moved across the United States where he would be stationed next. They both enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 72 years, Ella “Lue” Lawson; 3 sons: Benjamin Lawson, Jr. (Joann), Albert Lawson and Lynn Lawson; grandchildren: Karey, Angela, Heather, Mary, Adrienne and Sarah; great grandchildren and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held 10:00am, Friday, December 13, 2019 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
