Funeral Friday for Dean McGillivray

Dean A. McGillivray, 52, Americana Healthcare Center, died Tuesday, May 18th.The funeral was held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Minot. Burial was in Rosehill Memorial Park with military rites by Minot Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 753.

Mr. McGillivray was born December 26, 1929, at rural Norma. He moved to Minot in 1945. He served in the Minot National Guard Unit with the Army Combat Engineers in Korea from September 1950 to June 1952. For the last 20 years, he had been employed by the Farmers Aerial Spraying and Flight Service of Minot and by the city of Minot. He was a member of the Minot VFW and the American Legion.

Survivors include his sisters, Florence St. Croix, Janet Charley, Avis Barnett and Gwen Pross, all Minot, Hazel Weaver, Kenmare, "Lila Ritter, Sherwood, Leone Stroklund, Hutchinson, Minn., Beth Ryan, Eugene, Ore., and Janene Nordloef, rural Stanley; brothers, Dick, of Eugene, Floyd, Sawyer, Clare, Minot, and Jerry, Flaxton.
