Carla was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on September 20th, 1959 to Charles Larry Epperly and Iva Gladys (Gage) Epperly. She passed away on April 4, 2019.
Carla graduated high school in 1977. In October of 1977, Carla married Leonard Moore and later gave birth to her only son, Larry Moore. In June of 1983, she then married her second husband, Mike Allen.
Her passion was to work in the medical field, which she went on to do for 12 years as a Nurse’s Assistant. Thereafter, she pursued a job in the trucking industry where she worked for the remaining time of her career.
Carla loved spending time with her family and friends – going on vacations and taking road trips with her niece, nephews, and grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed going to the casino and kicking back on a slot machine for hours while smoking her Marlboro Red’s.
Carla is survived by her only son Larry Moore of Irving, Texas; two step-daughters Lucy Garcia and husband Steve Garcia, as well as Jennifer McAdoo of Fort Worth, Texas; sister Carletta Rix and husband Richard Rix of San Antonio, Texas, and Pat Morrill of Frisco, Texas; brother, Rodney Bachynski and significant other Skye Hawkins of Wylie, Texas; half-sister, Loretta Calentine of Springfield, Missouri; half-brother, Rick Seaton of Neosho, Missouri; grandchildren, Valerie Jimenez and significant other Don Santos of Lewisville, Texas, Brandon Jimenez of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kaylee Garcia of Fort Worth, Texas; niece Ashley Morrill and significant other Seth Barton of Frisco, Texas, Sam Beckwith of McKinney, Texas, and Amanda Bachynski of McKinney, Texas; nephews Brandon Morrill, significant other Rebecca York, and son Ryland Morrill (GiGi’s Great Nephew/Chunky Monkey) of The Colony, Texas, Dustin Morrill of Frisco, Texas, Jacob Rix of The Colony, Texas, Michael Rix of San Antonio, Texas, and Tristen Bachynski of McKinney, Texas; her long-time companion and fur baby, Isabella Moore – along with many other family and friends who were dear to her heart.
Carla was preceded in death by her mother and father, half-sister Clara Barnes, and brother-in-law, Richard Morrill.
Carla touched dozens of lives and was loved by many. It didn’t matter if you were one year old or 95 years old, she adored being there for and taking care of anyone in need. She was a gentle soul, and kind to all – a mom to one, and mother to many. She will be greatly missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing our sweet Carla.
