Daniel A. Herring, Jr. passed from this life on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He is the son of the late Daniel A. Herring and Ida Jackson Herring. He was born on January 10, 1929 in Laurel, MS. He attended Laurel City Schools, graduated from George S. Gardner HS and the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Masonite Corporation. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellisville, MS.

He married Geneva M. Jones on December 9, 1950 in Laurel, MS. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife of almost 69 years, and his sister Eva L. Roller.

He leaves in this life two sons, Stephen A. Herring and Gary L. Herring, daughter-in-law Catherine Herring, grand-daughter Elizabeth E. Herring, and many other kindred and friends.

A grave side service and internment will be a Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel @ 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Minister Shannon Slover will lead the service.
