Jessie Opal Hardin, Sr., 72, of Paoli, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at his residence.

Born April 8, 1947, in San Francisco, California, he was the son of Ochs and Frances Pauline (Grissom) Hardin, Sr. He married Penny Sue Jones on June 28, 1976.

Jessie retired from Dana Corporation and was a member of Grace Tabernacle. He was a U. S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Hardin of Paoli; his children, Amy Lynn Keith of Mitchell, Jeremy Ross Hardin of Orleans, Jessie Opal Hardin, Jr. of Orleans; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jackie Hardin of Arizona, Donnie Hardin of California, Rosa Lee Vogt of Caseyville, Illinois, and Diane Tincher of Shoals

His parents and siblings, Ochs Hardin, Jr., Gene Hardin, Connie Stewart, Nancy Frasier, and Sue Russell, preceded him in death.

Cremation was chosen with burial in Mitchell Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
