Joe Terry Shelton, 86, passed away on December 10, 2019, in Bay City, Texas. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Freestone.
Joe Terry was the only child of the late Joe Aldridge Shelton and Lois LaDera Miller. They lived in Freestone, Texas, until Joe Terry was 11 years old and then they moved to Baytown, Texas, where he attended Robert E. Lee public school until he graduated from high school. Joe Terry married Patti Jo Hames in 1956 and they had three children.
Joe was always known for fishing trips when he wasn’t at work. He loved being around people and had a giving spirit with everyone in his family. Joe lived a very full life in Baytown, Texas, where he resided for 75 years. He was a lifelong shift worker who had worked hard all his life.
Joe Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Jo Shelton; and his son, Carlton Eugene Shelton.
Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Kay Lee and Kelli Shelton Grage; other relatives and many friends. W5
