Patsy "Nanna" Gaynell Crosby Wynn - FLEMING- Patsy "Nanna" Gaynell Crosby Wynn, 65, passed from this world into God's hands on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from a long illness. Born in Chatham County, she was the daughter of Leonard Wilder Crosby and Eleanor Futch Crosby. Mrs. Wynn was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who shared her love with all children. Her jovial spirit was loved by all she came in contact with and dearly loved by all of her vast family. She was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Fleming Baptist Church. She was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. One of her most cherished moments was the time she spent with her family over the evening dinner table. Mrs. Wynn began her career at DFACS working with the elderly. She spent most of her career working in Civil Service and retired as a computer programmer analyst in 1998. Her motto was "Out the Gate in '98". She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Crosby, and her grandmother, Sarah Stokes Crosby. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Chester Wynn, three sons, Raymond Anthony (April) Wynn, James Stephen (Susan) Wynn, and Douglas Clinton (Kim) Wynn all of Fleming; six grandchildren Sarah, Jason, Emily, Raymond Jr., Douglas Jr., and Joseph Chester Wynn, and her first great grandchild that is due any day; one sister, Nanna Crosby LaRoche (Mark); four brothers, Leonard (Margaret) Crosby, Frankie (Judy) Crosby, Larry Crosby and Jerry (Wanda) Crosby; one half-brother Billy Radford; two half-sisters, Sue and Gail Radford, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Fleming Baptist Church with Rev. Major Dykes and Dr. Donnie Brannen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fleming. Pallbearers will be James Melvin Joyner, Matthew Fox Norsworthy, Mike Crosby, Joseph Martin Wynn, Jason Wynn, and R. J. Wynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Francis Tillman Joyner, Lloyd Ashley Wynn, and Wendell Lydell Wynn, Jack Quick, Danny and Dennis Wynn and Eddie Haymans.
