Anna Marie was born in Oefingen, Baden, Germany in 1845 to parents Andreas Woelfle (1796-1871) and Anna Barbara Krauss (1809-1878). FHL File #1189762.

After immigrating to Canada she settled in Ontario and on December 20th, 1864, she became the wife of George H. Scharlach in Waterloo County at the age of 19 years.

She gave borth to 11 known children in Berlin, Ontario.
