Roger West passed on December 7 after a long illness. Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. An Indianapolis native, Roger earned a Finance degree from Canterbury College in Danville, IN. Soon after, he hired on with the Inland Container Corporation, where he worked 30 years, retiring to Clearwater, FL in 1990.

Roger was loved and will be missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Julia, brother, Quentin and his daughter, Holly. He is survived by Eleanor West, his wife of 42 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Dawn West; grandson Zachary Smith; brother, Douglas West and sister, Sister Rachel West, OSF. He is also survived by step-children, Michael Mesalam, Samuel Mesalam (Sherri), Karen Wiltrout (Michael) and step-grandchildren, Haley and Kelsey Mesalam, David and Lindsay Mesalem and Jack and Rudy Wiltrout. A lifelong sports fan, Roger avidly followed professional and collegiate athletics, and was himself a scratch golfer in his prime. He loved to spark lively debates about politics and current events.
