Jimmy Boyd Horton, Sr. 81, of Old Town passed away December 7, 2019.

Mr. Horton was born May 29, 1938 to the late James and Minnie Pearl Horton in Venia, Virginia, but had lived in the Old Town area since 2007 after moving here from Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was a career truck driver, had served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Horton will always be remembered as tender, gentle, and loving man.

Mr. Horton is survived by his sons Jimmie B. Horton, Jr. (Jian Rao) and Roger G. Horton, his sister Ruth Turner, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Delphia Couch Horton.

Funeral services for Mr. Horton will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cross City, with Pastor Linton Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in Cross City Cemetery.
