Ebenezer Churchill was the son of Barnabas Churchill and Lydia Harlow.
He married Jean Fisher in Plymouth 5 May 1755.

He had Loyalist leanings in Plymouth prior to the Revolutionary War, although his sons served with the American forces.

Vermont Gazette (Bennington, Vt.) 12 October 1792, p. 3: "BENNINGTON, October 12. We hear from Pittsfield, in the state of Massachusetts, that a Mr. Ebenezer Churchill, of that town, in a fit of insanity (occasioned by methodical religious enthusiam) put a period to his mortal existence by cutting his throat - He made five stabs into his breast with the knife to effect his purpose; these failing, he plied the edge to his throat and terminated the horrid deed."

Their children, all born in Plymouth:
1. Ebenezer, b. 5 Oct. 1755, served in the Revolution, died of smallpox aboard a British prison ship.
2. Timothy, b. 21 January 1757, served in the Revolution, d. New York of yellow fever during the Revolutionary War.
3. John, b. 4 February 1759, d. 3 August 1760.
4. Jean, b. 6 January 1761, m. John Snow, d. Pittsfield 8 January 1849.
5. John, b. 23 June 1763, m. Mehitable Hubbard.
6. Martha, b. 10 January 1767, d. 12 November 1849, m. Alcott Chapman.

He was buried in Pittsfield's Old Burial Ground, and his remains were probably transferred to Pittsfield Cemetery.
