Mrs. Frances Pope Cook, age 86 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 13, 1933 in Bowdon, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Vengard Pope and the late Luvenia Elizabeth Pike Pope. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James Hoy Cook; sons and daughters-in-law: Bruce & Belinda Cook and Kim T. & Tammy L. Cook, all of Carrollton, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law: Mary & Ellis Skinner also of Carrollton, Georgia, and Hilda Noles of Bowdon, Georgia; grandchildren: Brandon Cook of Heard County, Georgia, Amanda Cook Wright of Carrollton, Georgia, Kristin N. Cook of Macon, Georgia, and Colby K. Cook of Carrollton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Brady West officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Brandon Cook, Colby Cook, Randall Wright, Joe Skinner, Jim Skinner, and Alan Cooper. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
