James E. Fowler, Jr. was born September 15, 1947, in Oakland, CA, and passed away December 11, 2019, in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Fowler graduated from ULM and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Fowler, Sr. and Rosalda “Rose” Mims Fowler.

Survivors include his sisters, Rosanne Fowler Kennedy, and Elizabeth Fowler Hawk; stepsons, James Anders (Dianne), and Richard Anders (Lynn); his former wife, Deborah McMillan Fowler; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was fortunate to enjoy close friendships with many friends, but especially Roger Laird and Doug Leporati. He was very appreciative of their devotion and support during his lengthy illness. His sense of humor and ablilty to charm didn’t cease through the adversities he suffered in his illness.

Private family services will be held at Hasley Cemetery.
