Margaret Olive Thomas Ramsey, 97 of Plainview, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of December 8, 2019. Private Graveside Services were held at Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Margaret was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Oliver and Dorothy Thomas. They moved to Plainview when she was around the age of seven. Margaret was a twin sister to Martha. She married Cy Ramsey in 1944 who had been best friends with her brother so, they had been friends most of their lives.

She was active in the church-taught Sunday school and M.Y.P. leader for over 20 years, she sang in the Choir, Counselor at Church camp many other activities within the church. She was involved for many years with the Pink Ladies Organization, Women Club of Plainview and PTA for all her children. She was very talented-she wrote beautiful poetry, sang acapella and painted. She had an eye for fashion and sewed all her kid’s clothes until they were teenagers. She loved being a homemaker and was a devoted wife and mother.

She was proceeded in death by her twin Martha, another sister Elizabeth and a brother Lawrence, her husband Cy of 59 years and a beloved daughter Marlene.

Survivors include her daughters; Norma Protzel of Plainview, Rebecca Fruits and her husband George of San Diego, California, Paula Longanecker-Baures and her husband Dr. Jeff Baures of Arlington, TX. Five grandchildren; Angie Myers and Melody Melder of Houston, TX. Paul Ramsey of San Francisco, California, Heidi Longanecker-Burton of Dallas, TX. and Matt Longanecker of Salt Lake City, Utah; five Great-Grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by her family. The family requests donations are made to disabled vets, or ASPCA-whom she donated to her entire life.
