Beverly Welch, 99, of Charlotte passed away December 7, 2019, a patient and resident of The Pearl at Fort Mill. Mrs. Welch was born August 29, 1920 in Charlotte and was the daughter of the late W.E. Strane, Jr. and Della Austin Strane.

She was a Central High School graduate and attended Carolina Business School.

Shortly after being married to Ray Welch, they relocated to Washington, D.C. where he was stationed throughout WWII. During those years, Beverly worked for both the N.R.A. and the F.B.I. After the war they returned to Charlotte. Beverly's priorities were family and faith. She and Ray were charter members of both Trinity Presbyterian Church and Carmel Country Club.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; daughter, Ann Welch Pieper; granddaughter, Kelly Snyder; and brother, Eddie Strane.

Beverly is survived by her son, Larry Welch (Donna); grandchildren, Lee Welch (Hannah) of Cary; Robin Harrell (Matthew) of Raleigh; Beth Finneran (Matt) of Apex; and great-grandchildren, Everett and Jesse Harrell, Jack and Sam Finneran, and Sawyer Welch.

The family held a private graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 11th.
