Mr. Carl Wood, Jr. 72, passed away Monday December 9, 2019 at the W.G. Hefner V.A. Medical Center he was born July 15, 1947 in Rowan Co. he was the son of the late Carl Wood, Sr. and Lessie Johnson Wood of Salisbury. He was educated in the public schools of Rowan Co.and was a graduate of Dunbar High School, East Spencer and was a veteran of the United States Marines. He retired from the NC Department of Corrections where he served as a SGT. He was member of New Hope AME Zion Church. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary B. Wood and a sister Paulette Wood.
