Mrs. Eliza Ann Walling
This estimable lady, wife of Mr. B.B. Walling and mother of Capt. Jas. S. Walling, of the Keyport steamboat, died at Port Monmouth about 12;30 o'clock last Saturday morning. She had been ill only two weeks with pneumonia and her death was quite sudden.
Mrs. Walling was aged 72 years, 4 months, and she died in the vicinity of her birthplace.
The funeral occurred on Tuesday at the Port Monmouth M.E. Church, and was largely attended. Reverend E.S.J. Gwynn preached an able sermon from a text found in Rev. xxii-21, "Amen".
Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery, Keyport.
