VIETNAM
Mr. Larry Wayne Moody, age 72, of Puerto Rico and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, FL for 43 years died on December 3, 2019. Mr. Moody was born on December 28, 1946 in Belfast, Maine the middle of 5 children of the late Wilmont and Leither J Wildes Moody.
Larry answered the call to service, when he enlisted, and proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Years after his service his work brought him to Puerto Rico where he met his future wife Maria Jimenez-Reyes. Together they moved to South Florida to get married, start a family and enjoy life for the next 43 years.
After many years as a Quality Control Manager, Larry followed in his fathers foot steps and began a career in Plumbing. He went to work for Dixie Plumbing where he devoted 23 years as a service plumber until his retirement in late 2016. In addition to Larry's service and his career, he was an avid reader and outdoorsman, he enjoyed diving, camping and fishing.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master in Troop 237, as well as being very active in the American Legion Post 222 and the VFW.
