Cassandra Lee Cooney Bell, age 73, of Lake Village passed away after a long illness, Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Cassandra was born on November 25, 1946, in Harlingen, TX. She was raised in San Benito, TX. She is the daughter of the late William Robert and Ida Eileen (Lockridge) Cooney. She was married to Billy Jack Bell for 30 years. She was a sales clerk for Walmart and Amoco Oil Co.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Kern Pursifull of Amarillo, TX, three brothers, Patrick Cooney and wife Anna, of Harlingen, TX, Robert M Cooney and husband Dennis, of Raleigh, NC, and James A Cooney of San Benito, TX, one God-Son, Robby Litton and wife Francis of Lake Village, AR, God-Daughter, Misty Mew and husband Marion, of Lake Village, AR; stepdaughter, Mylinda Smith, and husband David, Step Son, Lendol Bell, and wife Donna, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, December 16 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am on Monday, December 16 at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village, AR with Jeff Eagle officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Eudora. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2222 Cottondale Lane Ste 310, Little Rock, AR 72202.
