Patrick O. “Peco” Kelley, 55, of Marseilles, found peace on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 15 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Pastor John Nordstrom officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to funeral services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. A celebration of his life will follow the burial on Sunday at the Marseilles Lions Club.

Pat was born on August 4, 1964, in Ottawa, to Howard and Barbara (Jones) Kelley.

He was a 30-year member of Millwright Local 2158 and was a talented and respected craftsman. Pat loved music, family, friends, dogs, spending time outdoors, projects in “the shop”, and playing cards. He was a devoted Cubs fan, and even traveled to Cleveland for game 7 of the World Series.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara; three brothers, Howard C., Glenn (Karen), and Tim (Susan) Kelley; four sisters, Lisa (James) Tucker, Mary (Terry) Blue, Beth Goldstein and Amy Kelley; several nieces and nephews, Daniel (Erica) Read, Katie (Bryan) Bodine, Sara (Nate) Whalen, Aron (Kris Wlosek) Oakley, Matthew (Amy) Oakley, and Kourtney, Ashley, Sean, Lucy, and Nate Kelley; several great-nieces and nephews; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard B. Kelley, both maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Quick-witted and clever, Pat loved playing pranks, telling stories, and making people laugh. He was a kind and gentle soul and made friends wherever he went. He wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn’t afraid to show you his love. Pat would give you his last dollar and probably also sing you a song. He will be so dearly missed. He left a void in this world, but we are thankful to see and feel his memories around us still. Play a song for Peco today.
