He is survived by his nieces Ginger Ward Cravey Gallups (Bobby), Jackie Mack Lamb, Jo Mack Miller & Wanda Landowski. One nephew Kenny Akers. Great nieces Ginnie Cravey Daniel (Jeff) & Jessica Cravey Cato (Joey). One great nephew Jed Blackwell (Heather).
Affectionately known as ‘Lynn Boy’, he was born and raised in Lockhart. Although Lynn had a disability from birth, it never slowed him down in life. He took much pride in helping others. If you lived in Lockhart and left your windows down, Lynn would make sure he rolled them up so rain would not get in. He had a heart of gold.
Lynn was a faithful servant of the Lord. He loved attending Church services at the Florala Church of God with his mom. He also loved singing numerous gospel hymns. For most of his life each day you could catch him sitting on his front porch in Lockhart listening and singing to gospel hymns on the radio.
Lynn was an avid sports fan. He especially loved watching athletic events at Florala High School. In the 1990’s you could catch him at every game watching his great-nieces and great nephew. These games were the highlights of his week.
Some of his best memories are spending time with his best friend and brother, Edward W. Ward. Fishing, playing music, watching sports, planting gardens, drinking coffee and working in Ed’s wood shop. These memories were very special for both men. Lynn also had a great sense of humor. He loved to joke and laugh. One of his favorite things to say was ‘Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, hold it right there that’s payday.’ His sense of humor and laugh will be forever remembered.
