Nina Mikalunas, 91 yrs. old of Columbus, NY passed away on December 9, 2019 at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown, NY. Nina was born on December 16, 1927 in the Town of Columbus, NY the daughter of Arthur & Eva (VanWarner) Winton.
Her childhood was spent in the Columbus area. She attended Columbus Rural School and New Berlin High School. On February 10, 1945 she married Victor Mikalunas in Sherburne, NY. He predeceased her on June 4, 2011.
Nina is survived by her children; Charles Mikalunas of Sherburne, Victor Mikalunas Jr. of Morrisville,, Dean Mikalunas of Sherburne, Arlene Knapp of Oxford, Cody Mikalunas of West Edmeston, Bodie Mikalunas of West Edmeston and Barrett Mikalunas or Sherburne as well as 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons; Martin Mikalunas in 2016 and Steven Mikalunas in 1947 as well sibilings; Josephine Gibson, Claudine Wilcox, Dorothy Madison, Byron Winton, Benny Winton, Russel Winton, Chester Winton and Emma Winton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 12:00 PM at St. Malachy’s Roman Catholic Church, Sherburne, NY with Father Darr Schoenhofen officiating. Calling hours will be held from 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.
