Eddie Wayne Allen, age 81, went to be with Jesus on December 8th, 2019. Born on May 2, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas to Wayne and Ina Allen. He grew up in the Fort Worth area and graduated from Birdville High School, where he met his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Esther Gibbons and his two life-long best friends and future brothers-in-law Billy and Lee Gibbons. He graduated from Arlington State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and subsequently received his Professional Engineering Certification.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Allen, daughters Elaina Allen and Laura Wilson, son-in-law Michael Wilson, grandchildren Andrew Wilson, Stephen Wilson and his wife Danica, and Elizabeth Wilson. As well as his Sister-in-law Margret Ann McCaleb, Brothers-in-Law Billy Gibbons and wife Kay, and Lee Gibbons and wife Elsie, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Eddie was a loving and loyal, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. But above all else, he was a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. His deep and abiding faith was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and only brother Freddie Allen.

Eddie loved to work with his hands and could fix anything as well as being an accomplished woodworker. Although he traveled the world, one of his favorite things was RV'ing with his brother's in law and cousins. He also loved spending time with family and friends, as well as reading and studying the Bible. Eddie taught many Bible Studies and Sunday School classes over the course of his life and was passionate about teaching God's Word. He took numerous theological classes at Criswell College and was a lifelong learner.

In 1963 Eddie began a long career in the Telecom industry, with then Collins Radio, where he pioneered Microwave Communication Technology and was recognized throughout the world for his advancements in this field. He enjoyed speaking at many international industry conferences and taught seminars and classes. He gained the respect and admiration of many co-workers and industry leaders during his 35-year career, retiring in 1999, with then Alcatel.
