Obituary
Louis A. Wilson, 81, of Hayden, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Pastor Tom Judd will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

Born July 5, 1938, in Russell County, Kentucky, Louis was the son of Jason Sr. and Ina (Wade) Wilson. He was united in marriage to Teresa Burgmeier on September 27, 1958. She survives.

Louis owned and operated Wilson Concrete for 23 years. He was a member of the Hayden Historical Museum and had helped with their building projects. Louis was a member of the Spencer Township Fire Department and had helped with their building projects. He had served as a board member of the Hayden Water Company and on the Hayden Waste Water Management board of directors. Louis had also been active with the Jennings County Democrat Party and was a member of the Conservation Club in Dupont. He enjoyed walleye fishing and coon hunting.

In addition to his wife, Teresa Wilson of Hayden, survivors include sons, Andy (Lori) Wilson, Jim (Pam) Wilson, Mike Wilson, and Marty Wilson all of North Vernon; daughter, Christine Wilson of North Vernon; brothers, Harold and Arnold Wilson of Seymour, and Gerald Wilson of WI; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Jason and Ina Wilson; sisters, Christine Wilson, Bernice Corya, Sylvia Miles; brothers, Jason Wilson Jr., and Alvin Wilson.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Hayden Museum.
