Charles (Charlie) Gast, 82, passed away on December 9, 2019, with his wife at his side. He was born May 23, 1937, to Edward & Irene (Susie) Gast of Fargo, North Dakota.

After graduating from high school, he joined the army and was stationed in Korea for 16 months. He married Sharon Wolfswinkel, February 18, 1961, after his service in the army, he started work at Collins Construction, after that he started work at NW Bell (US West), starting as a Construction Cable Splicer. He progressed to the following positions; Installer Repairman, Cable Maintenance, Commercial Rep, Outside Plant Engineer and retiring as Manager Network Facilities Engineer. After retiring, he continued working as a consultant for several years with Ulteig Engineers.

An avid sportsman, he loved hunting and fishing, Enjoying several trips to Northern Canada with friends. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, which prior to playing, he referred to as "Cow Pasture Pool". Charlie and Sharon took several trips to Laughlin, Nevada with friends, and especially enjoyed spending time at their lake place.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Gast, children, John Gast, Fargo and Jim Gast, Fargo.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.
