Ralph Dennis Kennedy, 71, of Big Spring, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 in a Lubbock hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, 906 S. Gregg St., Big Spring, Texas, with Pastor Eddie Prince and Pastor Mark Smithson officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the funeral home at 906 S. Gregg St., Big Spring, Texas.

He was born May 19, 1948 in Decatur, Texas to Alma and Cecil Kennedy.

He married Charlene Huitt January 25, 1974 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Ralph graduated from Snyder High School in 1967 and joined the United States Army, serving three tours in Viet Nam, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Shield. He retired July 31, 1992 as a First Sergeant.

After retiring, Ralph and Charlene made their home in Big Spring.

He managed Pizza Hut for a number of years.

Ralph enjoyed traveling to State and National Parks, camping, watching football and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church of God. He was a Man of God and loved serving on the board of Grace Fellowship Church and strongly desires his family to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Kennedy; six daughters, Vickie Williams, Patricia Williams, Dennise Calk and husband, Dusty, Pamela Peterson and husband, Mike, and Holly Chavarria and husband, Pete, Kristina Williams and husband, Paul Wylie; one sister, Louise Kennedy; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Danny Ray Kennedy.
