She is a native of Kelso, Tennessee and retired from Fly's Manufacturing after approximately forty years of service.
Ms. Thomas is a member of the Baptist Mission Church in Tullahoma.
She was married to Cecil Thomas who preceded her in death in 1994 and they shared thirty one years together.
She is the daughter of the late Mason McCullough and Ida Street McCullough.
Ms. Thomas is survived by one son; Alton Thomas Sr. of Deckerd, twelve grandchildren; Alton Thomas Jr. of Shelbyville, Tony W.F. Thomas of Tullahoma, Gale Thomas of Shelbyville, Ronnie Thomas of Estil Springs, Daniel Thomas of Estil Springs, Scott Thomas of Tullahoma, Jimmy Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia, Vicky Earnie of Shelbyville, Kim Floyd Culbertson of Chattanooga, Kristi Floyd Medonis of Chattanooga, William Wortham Jr. of Unionville, and Dianne Mathis of Murfreesboro.
She is survived by twenty one great grandchildren as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Ms. Thomas is also survived by the best friend any one could ever have, Mary Crosslin of Bell Buckle.
Along with her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Haynes in 2010.
She was also preceded in death by eight brothers, Jeff, Acie, Robert, Curtis, Clarence, Howard Jessie and Lee McCullough and one sister, Mildred McCullough Williams.
Ms. Thomas was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tammy Lafarlett.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Gowen-Smith Chapel.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Gowen-Smith with Brother Bill Reed officiating.
Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
