Patsy Sue Fuller, passed away in Pikeville Memorial Hospital in Pikeville, KY, Sunday, December 8, 2019. Making her 71 years old at the time of her passing.

She was born in Haysi, VA, and resided in Prater, VA at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Byrd and Martha Fuller, whom were wonderful parents and grandparents to nine children and many grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Jack Fuller, Rual Fuller, Claudie Fuller, Ervin Fuller and Buddy Fuller; sister Georgie Fuller and nephew Timothy Byrd Fuller.

Patsy got a good start in life with much love in a large loving family.

Although she had no children of her own, she claimed the nieces and nephews and then the grand nieces and nephews to be her own. Her love was bountiful and we all felt it.

Her words of encouragement, wisdom, and comfort, gave us all who knew her something to pass down to our children. What a blessing Patsy was to the people that knew her. She was baptized into the Christian faith, loved cooking, flowers, car racing, the beach, Elvis, Conway and most of all her family.

Patsy helped her mother and father with their illnesses while suffering with her own. She was a skilled bookkeeper and worked until she was no longer able. Patsy’s lifelong love was Michael Phillips who preceded her in death. He was her knight in shining armor, a truly unique love story that lasted fifty years.

After Michaels death, Patsy was cared for by her sister Arlene and brother George, that became her earth Angels. Patsy’s smile would light up a room and her kind, kind heart made you feel loved from the heart, as only she could do.

Surviving is her sister Arlene Deel and husband Jerry; brother George W. Fuller; sisters-in-law Jean Fuller, Blanch Fuller, Pearlie Fuller; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Patsy Sue Fuller will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Carlie Fuller and Elder Jerry Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the Fuller Cemetery on Welcome Lane in Prater, VA.

Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, after 6:00 p.m. with evening service at 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses that helped Patsy, Jones and Counts Pharmacy and Teresa Deel for their support over the years and all whom loved her dearly and which she dearly loved. We will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace and underlying love.

We ask for your prayers as we mourn for our Patsy.
