He was born January 16, 1952 in Clarksburg, WV, the son of the late Donald and Jean Gardner.
Gary is survived by his wife, Richadeen, who he has been married to for 47 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Gardner and Dale Lipscomb and Kimberly and Michael Caruso; five grandchildren, Shelby Phillips, Eric Phillips, Lily Caruso and Meadow Caruso and Olivia Lipscomb and one brother Donald M. Gardner.
Gary was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and West Virginia University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Geology. He operated his own business GEO Consultants for 37 years, from which he retired. Gary loved to travel with his family. He enjoyed camping and sitting on the beach watching the ocean waves. He was recently able to make one last trip to Myrtle Beach with his brother. Gary’s love and generosity to his cats and dog, Daisy was immense. Gary will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather and to many as “Uncle” Gary.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Harrison County Humane Society.
