Obituary for Cora Oletta Coleman
Cora Oletta TaLLey was born on October 2. 1942, in Chickasawba
Township, Blytheville. Arkansas.
She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin
Milwaukee with a Master's Degree in Education.
Throughout her many decades of distinguished service for the
Milwaukee Public School System, Cora continued to expand her
personal acumen and excelled in many important positions. Her jobs
and responsibilities included: speech pathologist. special education
case manager. school administrator. and assistant principal.
In addition to constantly expanding her education. Cora Coleman
deeply appreciated the arts. Truly. she was interested in all the
humanities including literature. fine art and especially films!
Starting with dance in college, Cora continued studying several
artistic pursuits throughout her life. From early on she always had a
piano in the house. And. in addition to music. she studied watercolor
painting and even dabbled in cartoon drawing.
Cora had a passion for travel! So. in addition to taking trips all across the United States. she also visited Mexico. Japan. Spain, Italy. China and Portuguese Macau. Actually. just before she passed. she already had
tickets to Ireland and hoped to visit Paris in the fall with her oldest son.
But sadly that was not part of God's plan.
From her marriage, Cora Coleman produced a daughter and two sons:
Regina Eileen Coleman. Michael Eugene Coleman and Anthony Lamont
Coleman.
Regina has already departed this life, but Michael and Anthony are still
here to cherish her memory. Her beloved mother, Alice Crawford, is also
still with us and just celebrated her 99th birthday.
Anyone who ever met Cora Coleman will understand when we say that
a great light has truly been taken from this world. Her smile was
contagious and so was her love of life.
There are no words to describe how much she was loved
or how much she will be missed.
