Myrtle Lee Ray age 90, of Richlands, Virginia was surrounded by her children as she passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Tazewell, Virginia following a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 13, 1929 and was the daughter of Will and Ida Alice Davis Ball. Myrtle had dedicated her life to caring for her family, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had lived most of her life in the surrounding area and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray; sisters, Lola Newberry, Artie Osborne; brothers, Arch Ball and Avery Ball.

Buddy Herald and Jerry Welch officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jody Ray, Mikey Jackson, Mark Welch, Gabe Hunsaker, Joseph Ray and Jack Ray. Family will begin receiving friends at 11:00 am on Thursday until time of service.
