Suggested edit: Juliette Adelia (Moody) Peaslee (1838-1910) was named for a maternal aunt, Julietta Octavia (Penniman) Smith (1798-1883) and for her mother, Adelia Augusta (Penniman) (Harrington) Moody (1801-1884). She was a student at the High School in Burlington, Vermont, in 1853, and at its Female Seminary in 1857. She was married to Cornelius Peaslee at Burlington, Vermont, 22 Sept. 1858 and they removed to Iowa. They were at Anamosa, Iowa, in 1860 and very soon afterwards moved to Dubuque. The Peaslees had three children, all buried in Linwood Cemetery:

Nathan Smith Peaslee, 4 July 1859-15 July 1859
Samuel Hazen Peaslee, 12 Feb. 1861-12 Sept. 1862
Samuel Cornelius Peaslee, 12 Sept. 1862-8 Oct. 1943

Juliette's husband Cornelius Peaslee died quite young, in his mid-30s. She never remarried. Her husband's older brother, Amos Hazen Peaslee (1826-1878), married Juliette's older sister Frances Anne Moody (1831-1896). The two couples, their children, and many descendants are buried in Linwood Cemetery.
