She was born on July 18, 1934 in North Salem, the daughter of the late Harold “Farmer” and Nell (Kendall) Dean.
Sue was a 1952 graduate of North Salem High School. She married Richard “Shorty” Williamson on June 24, 1956, and he preceded her in death June 11, 2008.
Sue loved to garden, especially growing her roses. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Marvin) Podemski; sons R. Dean (Cindia) Williamson, Charles (Susie) Williamson and John (Kim) Williamson; 11 grandchildren, Stefanie, Brent, Marvin, Brian, Brittany, Brooke, Sarah, Kelsey, Rebecca, Shelby and Hannah; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Harry and Larry Dean; and a sister, Mary Hites.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Bainbridge Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
