In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Gardner; two grandchildren, Kristie Smith and Nathan Gardner; two sisters, Geneva Wiles and Lucille Shaffner; and four brothers, Gurney, Johnnie, Kenneth, and George Ashley. She is survived by her two children, Michel Gardner and Kim Gardner Cain; grandchildren, Adrian (Stephanie) Gardner and Savannah Cain; great grandchildren, Dailan Smith, Gracie, Chloie, Hailey, Nathaniel Gardner, and Carrie (Darrell) Hodges; a great-great- grandson, Draven Hodges; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Mtn. Grove UMC with Rev. Dr. Claudia Harrelson and Chaplain Mark Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Tuesday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Grove UMC 5200 Rena Road Hamptonville, NC 27020.
