Michelle Yvette Lawson, 38, of Palm Desert, died May 17, 2008 In Lucerne Valley. She was born July 5, 1969, to C.H. Chapel and Michelle Ochoa Chapel in Indio. She was raised in Palm Desert and also lived in Thousand Palms. Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker for 23 years. She is survived by four sons, Matthew Lawson, Chris Lawson, Jon Lawson and Tyler Lawson, all of Palm Desert; two brothers, Rick Chapel of Cathedral City and John Chapel of Palm Desert; father, C.H. Chapel and stepmother Elvira Chapel, both of Palm Desert. She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Ochoa Chapel; and by her son, D.J. Lawson who died on July 7, 1997. Arrangements are private; burial will be in Desert Memorial Park, Cathedral City under the direction of Rose Mortuary of Desert Hot Springs.
