Patsy Jean Rucker, age 85, passed away and went to be with her Lord on December 8, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Quitaque. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque. Open visitation will take place Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Quitaque.
Patsy was born March 6, 1934 to Warren and Lorene Johnson Carpenter of Quitaque, Texas. Her mother passed away shortly after her birth and she was raised by her grandparents, H.K. and Alice Carpenter. She lived most of her life in Quitaque.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Arnis Wayne Martin; and son, Jerry Wayne Martin; her husband, William A. Rucker; a daughter, Donna Rucker; and a step-daughter, Kenna Rucker Andrews.
She is survived by her grandson, Justin Rucker and wife Savannah; two great-grandsons, Blaze and Jaxx Rucker; one great-granddaughter, Collins Rucker; a brother, Ronnie Carpenter and wife Jana of Quitaque; a brother, Gilbert Carpenter and wife Diane of Alamogordo, New Mexico; a sister, Renee Roth and husband Bernard of Vista, California; a step-sister, Peggy Raymer and husband Ron of Lakeside, Oregon; and a step-daughter, Ann Rucker Smith of Amarillo.
