He was born in Wayne County Jan. 14, 1900 to William Harvey and Elizabeth Jane Archibald Evans.
He was a member of the Noble United Methodist Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, including a nephew, C.J. Herdes of rural Noble with whom he lived.
Services for Mr. Evans will be at the Cardascio Funeral Home, Noble with visitation. The Rev. Gene Everett will officiate with burial in Wells Cemetery.
