He was born June 11, 1932 in Odell, Arkansas, to Jess and Bessie Pearl (Dobbs) Wilhite.
Robert served in the U. S. Army.
He retired from Gates Corporation in Siloam Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Orvel Wilhite, Warren Ivan Wilhite, Hubert Denver Wilhite, and James Herbert "Jack" Wilhite; four sisters, Dovie Eleanor Loftin, Ella Marie "Cricket" Cuzick, Agnes Bernice Corley and Oleta Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Ina Jo (Rose) Wilhite; two sons, Ed Wilhite (and his wife, Vivian) of LaFayette, Indiana and Darren Wilhite (and his wife, Cara) of Shawnee, Kansas; five daughters, Dianna Russell (and her husband, Bobby), Sandy Norton (and her husband, Jay), Judy Braly (and her husband, Paul) all of Lincoln, Arkansas, Brenda McReynolds (and her husband, Ronald) of Farmington, Arkansas and Melissa Remington (and her husband, Rick) of Lincoln, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2019, at Luginbuel Chapel in Lincoln.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Summers Missionary Baptist Church in Summers, Arkansas.
Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow.
