Mrs. Hatfield was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on October 15, 1929, daughter of the late Archibald and Lydia Skinner White. She loved without condition and was never demanding or judgmental. Her needs always came second to whatever her husband and children required and she never wanted to be recognized for her role in their successes. Her happiest moments were spent with her family surrounded by good food and desserts. She could listen to her grandchildren’s stories for hours and hours remembering every detail. Her family would like to thank her for all that she taught us and for being the role model that we aspire to emulate. We take solace in the fact that she is now reunited with her husband and her children that she missed so very much.
She leaves to cherish her memory, loving sons, John L. Hatfield (Leeann) of Shelton and James R. Hatfield (Alison) of Newport, RI, a loving daughter, Kathleen Lembo (Deacon Victor) of Beacon Falls, brothers, Robert White and Charles White (DeEtta) of Wheeling, WV, cherished grandchildren, Shannon Cohen, John F. Hatfield, Alysse Buzzelli, Jennifer Dorsey, Kaitlin Lembo, Michael Cohen, Alexandra Cohen and Olivia Hatfield, great-grandchildren, Max and Sophia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey P. Hatfield, her daughter, Karen Hatfield Sharpe and sisters, Betty Geiger and Sally Myers.
She will be privately buried in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby at the convenience of the family. The provided by Spinelli - Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
