Effie J Daw, age 92 of the Quinsippi Nursing Center, Quincy, Illinois, formerly of 509 Grant Drive, Quincy, passed away at 2:00 am Saturday, Oct 25, 1986 in Blessing Hospital, Quincy

Born Jan 17, 1894 in Shawnee County, Kansas a daughter of Jacob Ennis & Sarah Amelia Ecker Atwood, Effie married John Richard Daw, Sept 19, 1915 in Topeka, Kansas; he preceded her in death on Oct 3, 1953

Effie had been employed by the May Company in California for several years, Blessing Hospital Cafeteria from 1953 to 1956 and had been employed as a Nurse's Aide at Sunset home for 10 years until her retirement

Surviving are 4 children:
John R Daw (Rosa) of Quincy, Illinois
Helen Loretta Gordon of Kansas City, Missouri
Josephine Sarah (Dale) Wellman of Pella, Iowa
Shirley Hines of Quincy, Illinois

A brother:
Clinton John Atwood

Ten 10 grandchildren, Twenty-five great grand children and one great-great grandchild

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, three sisters and a son, Harry A Daw

Services will be conducted at 1 pm, Wednesday at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Quincy, Illinois;
Rev Clyde Murphy officiating
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Hamilton, Illinois

Visitation from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home
