GRANT CITY, Mo. - Faye R. Adams, age 95, Grant City, died Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the Nodaway Nursing Home, in Maryville, Missouri.
Faye was born Aug.14, 1924, in Denver, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Francis Lloyd and M. Enid (McNeese) Smith.
Faye attended school, in Denver, and high school in Worth, Missouri.
Faye was united in marriage to Elbert Verlin Adams, on Dec. 6, 1941. Two this union daughters, Saundra and Connie, were born.
Elbert preceded her in death on May 4, 1990.
Faye had worked as a bank teller for the former Citizens Bank of Grant City for 28 years.
Faye was a member of the Worth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son-in-law, Ronnie Seymour; sister, Fern Thackery; and brothers, Cleo and Leo Smith.
Her survivors include: two daughters, Saundra Seymour, St. Joseph, and Connie (Lawrence/Larry) Thompson, Maryville, Missouri; four granddaughters: Rhonda (Dan) Archer, Omaha, Nebraska, Sherri Seymour, Wathena, Kansas, Tammy (Scott) Adam, Lathrop, Missouri, and Terri (Rick) Salsbury, Olathe, Kansas; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at the Andrews-Hann Funeral Home, in Grant City, with Rev. Len Green officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Grant City Cemetery.
Memorial: Mosaic Hospice of Maryville.
