Lois Colleen Henderson, 90, died December 5, 2019 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. She was born August 5, 1929 to Ennis and Edna Northup Smothers near Webster, Iowa. She attended country school at Bunker Hill. On December 24, 1948 she married Harold Donald Henderson at Davenport, Iowa.

They moved to the Floris area in 1955 where they lived and farmed. They moved to Blairstown in 1984 and to Arkansas in 1985 and then back to Blairstown in 1989 and in 2017 they made their home in Sigourney. Lois loved puzzles, garage sales, country and polka music, playing cards and the Ozarks. She was an excellent cook and she made some of the best meat loaf, macaroni salad and mock apple pie. No one went hungry when Lois was in the kitchen. Lois was a very loving lady she loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren dearly and still enjoyed holding hands with Cotton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cynthia Gregory and a brother Kenneth Smothers.

She is survived by her husband Harold, granddaughter Rhonda Peery of Iowa City, grandson Clayton Gregory of California, four great- grandchildren Wylde Wisner, Scarlett Wisner, Raylan Wisner, and Zayne Peery.
